Bisexual+ Empowerment Conference: A Uniting Supportive Experience BECAUSE is a conference by, for, and about bi+ folks which provides space to understand the world and yourself while creating the community we believe is possible: inclusive, intersectional, and empowering. We want you to find community at BECAUSE that is strong enough to support you during the conference and after you return home.

Our goal is to make this conference as accessible as possible. If you can't afford the full registration fee, you can choose to pay less or register for free. On the flip side, if you can afford the full registration and then some, you are welcome to pay more than suggested as a donation to help put on the event.

Whatever you are comfortable in! Some people will come dressed in full prom attire, others will come in their sweatpants. There is no pressure to dress a certain way. Just be you! Also keep in mind, that there are conference events before the dance, so if you choose to come in a full tux or ball gown, make sure you are comfy or plan to bring a change of clothes.

NEITHER! This year's event is 13+.

BECAUSE is a sober event, so there will be no alcohol served or allowed at any point during the event.

Child care during the event is FREE! We always suggest tipping the child care volunteers IF your are able, but there is no expectation or pressure to do so. Please do not feel guilty if you are unable to tip.

BECAUSE 2024 will only be held in person. Our programming this year does not lend itself well to a virtual option.
