Hello All! Some News (finally)

This is Ashley, one of the co-chairs for BECAUSE 2024.

First of all, thank you to everyone for your patience. We have spoken to so many people at Prides about BECAUSE this year and said registration and details would be up soon. Unfortunately, we have had some setbacks as co-chairs causing some changes to this year's programming.

Since the start of Covid, we have not been able to bring BECAUSE back to its full strength, and we really wanted to make that happen for 2024, but we fell behind in our planning this year because of some significant health struggles in our household, most of them being very unexpected and having to do with me. While things have settled a bit in that arena, we decided we didn't want to try and scramble to put together a full conference this year because we want the next full BECAUSE to be the big deal you all deserve it to be.

So, we are introducing this year's new adventure, the BECAUSE Ball! This will be a one-night only event. We will have our annual meeting, a presenter, and catered dinner. To end the evening, we will have a dance! Think of it is Bisexual+ Prom. No dress code or expectations, just come and have fun with our people. Wear your sweatpants, your favorite outfit, or come dressed all out in your fanciest fancy things. The goal is to have a safe space to have some fun and dance the evening away.

We also realize that a dance is not everyone's cup of tea. There will be a quiet space as well for anyone who needs a moment to decompress or prefers less noise in general. The goal is to bring people together, however that may work best for you personally.

Once again, thank you for your patience as we get stuff figured out. We are working hard to make this a great event, and we hope to see you all there!
